June Ice (Cream) Sculpting Activity

In June members of the ward showed off their artistic abilities, as they sculpted masterpieces out of ice cream. They looked great and tasted even better.

Bishop Zirker's ice cream truck was a favorite.

The Alvey's snowman also was a hit. BreAnn even rummaged around the park for sticks and leaves. (Don't tell that to the individuals who ate it.)

Bryan Foutch ate as he went to create this ice cream cinder block.

Jayson Smith wowed us all with his rendition of Stonehenge.

The Hilverdas created a mint chocolate chip bunny.

Lane Squires spared no detail with his baseball stadium.

And the Winterbottoms took the gold medal with their detailed ice cream house.

Visiting Teaching Conference

In Fall 2007 the Relief Society had a Visiting Teaching Conference. Brittanie Smith and the visiting teaching district leaders put together a great forum for sisters to share their diverse talents. Each sister had the chance to display crafts or talents at a table, and they could trade talents and services.

Nora Southwick with Benson, Jenn Kimber and Giselle Pittard looking at other sisters' crafts.
Cambria Squires with Smith Fusselman.
Camille Rigby, Celeste Wood, Roxy Stinger with Payton.
Charity Fusselman, Heather Bowman, Katelyn Foutch, Melissa Walker, Emily Lilya.

Janette Wood, Kierstin Van Tassell, Giselle Pittard.

Popcorn

There are a few of us who have the wonderful opportunity to be with your precious little children each week in Nursery. This last week we brought in the popcorn popper. The little faces on each of the kids was priceless. When we dumped the kernels of corn into the airpopper they couldn't figure out what was going on. They gathered around it looking and then they heard the noise. *POP* Someone saw the first piece of popcorn. Many of you sitting in Elder's Quorum or Relief Society might have heard some squeeling. Have no fear, your children were fine. Just excited. They had a great time sitting on the big blanket (who knew a blanket would keep the kids in one spot?!) and eating their healthy snack.
